Introduction to the International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases
The International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases (ISSN 1673-4165, CN 11-5541/R) is a national level core scientific and technological journal, jointly organized by the Chinese Medical Association and the Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University, under the supervision of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China. The journal was founded in 1993 and was originally titled "Cerebrovascular Diseases Foreign Medical Sciences". In 2006, it was changed to its current title. The journal has been continuously included in "the Key Magazine Of China Technology" since 2006, and was included in the "Overview of Chinese Core Journals" in 2008 and 2011, respectively.
The purpose of the journal is to implement the health work policies of the Communist Party of China, to implement the publishing policies of combining theory with practice, popularization and improvement, to reflect the latest progress in international clinical and scientific research work of cerebrovascular diseases, and to promote academic exchanges in the field of cerebrovascular diseases. The journal focuses on reporting new clinical and research achievements, technologies, methods, developments, and trends in various aspects of cerebrovascular disease, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, neuroepidemiology, neurochemistry, neuroimmunology, neuroimaging, vascular surgery, neurorehabilitation, neurocritical care, neuropsychology, and speech disorders. The journal has columns such as "Editorials", "Standards and Guidelines", "Original Articles", "Reviews", "Case Reports", "Academic Controversies ", and "Medical Newsletter". The journal not only focuses on the combination of basic research and clinical application, but also on the hotspots, difficulties, and controversies in clinical work. The main target audiences are neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and neurointerventional, neurorehabilitation, neuroemergency and other interested professionals engaged in basic theoretical research, clinical diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. The journal is not only suitable for middle and senior clinical, teaching, and research workers engaged in prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular disease and related disciplines, but also for reading and reference by physicians and surgeons in grassroots hospitals.
