Chinese Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma (CJOT) (ISSN1671-7600, CN11-5530/R) is a national science and technology core journal published at home and abroad, supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology and sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association. In 2022, its total citation frequency, impact factor and non-self-cited rate were 2145, 1.641 and 0.85 (core version), ranking the second in overall quality among the 16 Chinese core orthopaedic journals. At present, it has been included by all the three domestic authoritative core databases: Source Journals for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations, China Science Citation Database, and A Guide to the Core Journal of China (2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020 editions). It has been successively included by such international retrieval systems as Chemical Abstracts in the United States, WHO Western Pacific Regional Medical Index (WPRIM), Copernicus Index in Poland and Scopus database. For three consecutive years, it was indexed in the World Journal Clout Index Report (WJCI) (2020, 2021, 2022 science editions).
CJOT won financial supports by the Quality Science and Technology Journals Project from China Association for Science and Technology for two consecutive times in 2013 and 2015, and by the High-level Chinese Journal Cultivation Project from China Association for Science and Technology in 2023. It was rated as A Chinese Quality Science and Technology Journal for three consecutive times in 2017, 2020 and 2023. It won the honorary title of An Excellent Journal of Chinese Medical Association in 2015, the Journal Progress Award by Chinese Medical Association in 2018, the Journal Progress Award from Chinese Medical Journal Co., Ltd. in 2021, and the honorary title of Guangdong Provincial Excellent Science and Technology Journal for three consecutive times in 2015, 2017 and 2021. In the collective review of 127 Chinese journals sponsored by Chinese Medical Association in 2021 and 2022, CJOT was respectively ranked as 17th and 18th in the comprehensive quality, both the first among the ones in orthopedic category. Two papers published in CJOT were rated as The Top 100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in China, and more than 40 CJOT papers as Top Academic Papers in Chinese Excellent Science and Technology Journals (F5000); 14 CJOT papers won the Award for Hundred Excellent Papers of Chinese Medicine, 4 of which won the Award for Excellent Science and Technology Papers from China Association for Science and Technology.
