Professor Tan, who has engaged in the clinical research of respiratory disease for decades, is the visiting scholar of Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School in USA. She has published more than 60 papers as the first correspondent author, including 8 SCI papers, and wrote a monograph. She presided over more than 10 scientific research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Guangdong Science and Technology Plan International Cooperation Project and Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan Project. Alongside that, Professor Tan has obtained 1 patent, trained over 20 doctors and masters and received a lot of awards, including the third-class personal merit, the honor of "Anti-SARS Pacesetter" in Guangzhou, second prize for military medical achievements and third prize for military scientific and technological progress.
